Caroline had a good day.  She was stable all day with her CPAP on low to medium pressure.  The nurse told us that the doctors mentioned this morning that they though Caroline would grow out of her issue with the obstruction in her airway.  She just needs to grow.  They would like her to gain about 15-20 grams a day (slightly more than 1/2 ounce).  By the way, Caroline has had a new nurse the last three days. Today she called Caroline a "little pistol".  The reason she had a new nurse is that we were moved to a different part of the NICU.  We were in the cardiology wing of the NICU and they needed Caroline's spot for a baby with a heart issue.  Three of Caroline's old nurses came by to check on her today.  It seems that they are pretty attached to her, too.  A few of them will still be assigned to her from time to time.

Caroline will be one month old tomorrow.  It is pretty amazing to recap the things she has been through in the last month.

- She was resuscitated in her first minute of life;
- battled very low blood pressure for almost a week;
- had a breathing tube for over a week;
- used the CPAP machine for almost three weeks;
- 2 spinal taps;
- a blood transfusion;
- head ultrasound;
- eye exam;
- echo-cardiogram;
- several chest x-rays;
- numerous blood tests;
- went from not eating to 150 cc's a day.

I could go on and on.  Whenever I have a little doubt in myself, I think about little Caroline.  It has been pretty amazing.

I would also like to thank everyone for the wonderful support.  I was looking at the features of our blog the other day and I noticed that I can see how many hits the website gets.  In just under a month, Caroline's blog has 9,198 hits, including the following countries:
