Eyelashes and Wine

Not many changes today.  The doctors were able to turn the pressure of the breathing tube down a little.  They will slowly bring down the pressure as she improves.

She had another eye exam.  Everything looked really good.  They are not going to check her again for 2 weeks and not weekly.

They increased her food.  She is now getting about an ounce a feeding (8 times a day).  Time to pack on the pounds.  I saw her today for the first time since Sunday.  She is starting to look bigger to me.  We had one of our favorite nurses today that we have not had in awhile.  She agrees, she thinks she looks so much bigger.

Speaking of changes.  Katie kept on talking about her eyelashes on Sunday and how she had never noticed them.  I looked back at old pictures and I could not see them.  The nurse today also mentioned her eyelashes.  You can see them pretty clearly in the picture above.

Finally, if you are looking for something to do this weekend, consider going to to the Houston Wine Fest at Sam Houston Park (downtown Houston) on Saturday or Sunday http://www.houstonwinefest.com/).  I think you can get tickets from as cheap as $10 if you don't want to taste wine.  Regular admission tickets are $35, I believe, and there are "VIP" options available.  There will be several wines from around the world and food pairings from local restaurants.  A portion of the proceeds go to Texas Children's Hospital.  We are going on Saturday around 5 pm with some friends who have a three month old baby that is about to have heart surgery at TCH.  Let me know if you want to meet us there, or go at another time to purposefully avoid me!  (Dear TCH Office of Development, request my resume at Kewl.Blogger.Dad@email.com)
