Katie would have been 37 weeks pregnant today. Because of her past medical issues, Caroline probably would have been born today. As of last night, Caroline is 4 pounds, 4 ounces. It is amazing what can happen in 8 weeks. When Katie was on bed rest, one of the doctors said that the ultimate goal was to make it to 34 weeks. Katie's Mom asked if that week was "magical", meaning that the baby was "out of the woods". He said that every week is magical. I now see that he was right.
Caroline is doing well. Not much to report from yesterday. She kind of went up and down on her current settings on CPAP. The doctors said that she was in a better mood yesterday. I expect that to change today... She is scheduled for an eye exam.
Katie just called and said they are lowering the CPAP pressure to 5. She also described her as "huge!" She said that the nurse agrees.
