New Years Resolution

Jean-Ann, my Step Mom, asked me how Caroline's fight in the NICU changed me.  It's really hard to describe to someone that has not had the same experience.  Not being able to take care of Caroline was very humbling.  It was the first time in a long time that I felt helpless.   As everyone knows by now, Katie and I are very grateful to Texas Children's Hospital.  I would like to try to educate people about this wonderful place that is right in our backyard.  

My new years resolution this year is to have some kind of event to raise money for TCH.  We can either have an event at our house or somewhere larger if we have enough people.  I do not really have any expectations.  The event may only have 5 people attend, but I want to try something.

It would be ideal if we could co-host the event with other families that have had a similar experience at TCH, or just anyone that wants to help.  We could draw more people and hear (and see) more success stories like Caroline.  If you are interested in helping, email me at RCooper80@gmail.com.  I am open to suggestions, but I think it would be great to have the event the weekend before Thanksgiving, or sometime later this year.

I also want to encourage people to join Ambassador's For Texas Children's Hospital.  This is a great way to give to TCH and become involved.  I do not want to sound cheesy, but TCH will give you way more in return.   Learn more about this group here - Ambassadors.

I am not sure if I have ever kept my new years resolution, but I am going to try to change that this year.  Please help me out and help TCH in the process.
